http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Fludo-C ... 2a2a30a9e4 the old discussion about when people started to produce fake Breitlings; does not look like a recent dial refinishing. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Fludo-C ... 2a2a30a9e4 |

This was on the last train (check the location of the seller and think 1960s). I am of the belief that the scary trend we have been facing is the quite professional adding of script "Breitling" to otherwise blank, but very aged dials. In that early period, lots of brands and some Breitlings did not have the dial branded. This one has the script pattern we have been seen and I caution against revealing the "tells" on this public board. It allows fraudsters and crooks to pass off aged dials as original and old Breitlings. For this one, they didn't even try to dummy up other correct markings. It's a joke, but illustrates my current fears (group therapy meets on Thursday afternoon). I'm not sure where it's coming from, but I think a bit east of you in Vienna. Discuss. |
