any thoughts assistance is appreciated. was my dad's watch and wondering if it is worth getting rehauled. |

Well the 1191 is a 50s piece with a Venus 188, but have never seen one with handset or dial like that before. Not the greatest photos but dial doesn't look right to me. |

Roff, we did have one or two with these hands, later pieces with hands that seem to big/wide for the dial design. basically correct, though the script B looks a bit strange, maybe somebody tried to touch it up a bit, but dial does not seem to be refinished. edit: that search function here is great. this piece shows up in the post 63 Wakmann Breitling catalog, here's the thread: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=36820&p=269797&hilit=1191+hands#p269797 |

you are most welcome. definitely worth servicing, maybe try to clean the dial a little bit, clean the case. not much to to do actually, make sure you have a decent watchmaker work on it, you'll be able to pass it on to your kids. |
