Never seen anything like that before, although there are some Breitling like design cues. Don't buy a Doxa connection so likely franken as bnewbie suggests.

Since these aren't seen too often, and the uniformed might think they're franken , I've taked some good shots of this Breitling diver I just picked up. It's only the second one I've ever seen but 100% authentic. Just added an aftermarket strap so I don't know what came on it originally. Interesting to note that it closely resembles some Scubapro models and Breitling did have some sort of relationship with them on a few models. The hour hand even has the Scubapro 'S' on it. Movement is the ESA 955 with original Breitling logo attached. Previous owner thought he got it in 1982 which sounds about right. It's a good size watch at 42mm. Notice it has the same reference number as the other quartz model earlier in this thread. Perhaps just an earlier version?

oh, rub it in, Paul ! to quote myself: "have so much egg in my face w/ the early Quartz pieces, I'd rather not offer any comment, caseback looks legit" - but those early Quartz pieces are a strange bunch. Do u have a production year for these, pre-Schneider ?

That is really neat! Was Scubapro somehow affiliated with Seiko at any point? The original Seiko Tuna has very close similarities!

Not really sure of the timeframes on these early quartz watches Fred. I think they were some of the first offerings about the time Schneider took over. The 1000 meter diver, another Scubapro watch, is in the 1985 catalog so this one would probably be slightly earlier by a couple of years. Hard to tell for sure. I'm also not sure is Scubapro designed the watches or if Breitling did. Scubapro, being primarily a dive company, I would think that Breitling probably designed and supplied the watches to Scubapro and just used the same design for some of their own watches. When Breitling, for whatever reason, decided not to supply Scubapro any longer I think Seiko took over.
