Post subject: | Vintage Breitling Wakmann? |
Hello I was writing for assistance identifying a movement I got today. It appears to be a Wakmann made by Breitling. It has the WOG stamped on balance cock and Wakmann Watch Co. Swiss, 17 Jewels, unadjusted and serial no 1453162. While it doesnot appear to be for a wristwatch or pocket watch, it is a chronograph of some sort. Any help, information or links to research would be most appreciated. I have attached two pictures |

probably from a Wakmann Aircraft Clock, big business for Wakmann in the 50s and 60s; not manufactured by Breitling, as far as we know, Wakmann was distributing the Breitling clocks alongside it's own branded pieces, manufactured by other factories. |

Definitely looks like an aircraft instrument, and I assume that size will back that up. Also don't believe that it has anything to do with Breitling (although they did separately produce aircraft instruments earlier than this piece likely dates to). |
