I think too late a serial number for an all black dial. Iraqi back so should have the Iraqi wings on the dial. Probably the wrong back for the watch. Seller chose not to respond to my inquiry.

Agreed, and I think that we have seen this sellers 'absolutely original' pieces before with similar concerns.

yes, that's the guy w/ the "rare 60s" Lemania Cossie and many more Frankenfakes, all outrageously overpriced even for correct similar watches.

dial and hands are VERY wrong for a 1965 - am sure seller knows, he reads this forum

. . . because any watch spending appreciable time in Iraq has had a rough life.

1. I think the caseback is original to the case and movement.
2. I question the statement that the movement is clean and crisp, but it has been serviced and may well work very well.
3. The dial is a replacement from another era.
4. Same for the outer bezel from yet different era.
5. It's way polished and looks like lots of corrosion has been removed.
