Hello,

I have the chance to buy a cosmonaute and I need some help determining its authenticity. I bid a lot less than the offer price and now they are offering a second chance option.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/RARE-VTG-REFURB ... 7675.l2557

Looks correct to me minus the replacement crown. I don't like that there aren't any movement pictures.

Thanks for the help.

authentic: yes
though the claim the watch had been "REFURBISHED- WE HAD A WATCHMAKER REPAIR,REPLACE AND TOTALLY RESTORE THE WATCH TO ORIGINAL STATE" is blatantly untrue, hands are bent & without lume etc.

And the wrong crown but any decent 806 or 809 for less than $2k is starting to be more of a deal all the time.

Yea, the totally refinished to original state is pretty bogus. I actually liked that they hadn't relumed or messed with the dial. How can you tell the hands are bent in the pictures?
