Post subject:  '50s 17 Jewel - real or fake??

Hi all, this is actually my first post, in regard to (hopefully) my first Breitling. I've been doing a fair amount of research, but still am no where near the level of many of you on here. I found this post on eBay and would love to hear some opinions before I decide to bid or not.

What do you think, real or fake?

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

It looks OK to me, but would like to see a model number, and would also want to see the movement before committing.

That was my biggest concern. I contacted the seller to see if he could send a picture of the movement. Otherwise I think I'll bid… any recommendations as to what would be a fair price?

Thanks, I think I've found my new favorite forum!!!

They aren't particularly valuable, it shouldn't cost you more than $500 - $600 at most.

That back cover is pretty rough. It's a common enough watch that I think I'd hold out for one in better condition.
