Hopefully the vintage guys will be able to help you here. |

Breitling did make several models in the 12and6 configuration, based on the Venus 170. this one has a correct model number (ref.178), caseback seems a bit strange, unconvinced. Do not have Richter with me, but lugs seem wrong for a 178. |

Don't have Richter in the office either, but have never seen a 178 with that case or caseback. Also not convinced about the movement or the dial to be honest. Nothing original here for me. |

The size is a good indicator it's a fake. The early B's, with few exceptions, never were much over 36mm at their largest. |

I've never seen ribbon style lugs for a ref. 178. |
