I am considering purchasing this, any thoughts as to whether it's genuine?

Everything about that watch is bad. Movement engraving, caseback engraving, redone dial... Don't even think it started life as a Breitling.

There are some good lessons here for spotting fakes.

1) The dial looks brand new - how likely is that on a watch that claims to be 40 years old?
2) The dial is in very different condition to the movement - how can that happen if everything is original?
3) There are a mix of logos, not impossible, but highly unusual
4) The serial number dates to 1953, when Breitling moved to Geneva and proudly put Geneve on their dials
5) There's no model number

If you find a watch that has any of these issues then it's reason to be suspicious, with all of them it's time to run.
