Hi guys,

I'm interested in buying this at an auction. Is it real? What should I pay for it?
I'm a total Breitling noob, so I actually have no clue what it could be worth.

it's apparently a Valjoux 7733 movement and on the back it says: 90855, 3945
according to the seller it's recently been serviced. Which is good. So, what do you think?

Frankenwatch. Dial is the only Breitling part.

Oh, that doesn't sound good. Meaning that it's been totally tinkered with?

what's the value?

"tinkered with" is putting it mildly, trying to defraud buyers by adding a Breitling dial to a noname watch to raise the value would be more exact. In this state the value is zilch, with the original Wakmann or whatever dial maybe $250 to 300.

Toptime dial might be worth $70 or a little more without the surrounding watch.

Fred beat me to it, but I was going to say that the dial and maybe the movement as a donor are the only parts of value here - and even the movement is a stretch a 7733s are not rare.
