Here is a picture of the 2111 ive bought , i know its not a great pic but what do you think , the local breitling dealer in Leicester has no reason to doubt its genuine and has sent it to breitling for me for a service, I just think that the hands on the subdials are the wrong way round but I suppose they could of been replaced over 40 years, Thanks for any help, pictures don't do it justice , the watch is in very good condition |

I'm thinking the hands may have both been off at the same time for a clean or something and put back the wrong way round ! |

Hands are definitely the wrong way round - red ones are for the chronograph. Can't comment much more without seeing caseback and movement pics. |

I've sent to Breitling now so can't get any more pics , I've studied the case back and it looks right compared to others I have looked at , serial number is 1268530 |

The only thing that needs replacing are the hands as they have a slight cracking to the luminous area in the middle the rest of the dial is in very good condition |

Any thoughts on the serial number Roff , does that seem right for the age It's 1969 which was the year that the chrono-matic was introduced, so yes. |

Thanks , I paid £800 for the watch is this about right or too much ? |

Far from too much, quite a good price. Though you try to change that by having it serviced by BUK, let us know how much this costs you in the end ? |

I know I am going to pay over the odds for the service at Breitling , I should of listened to advice on here (Chronodeco ) but being my first vintage piece I suppose I didn't have the balls to send it elsewhere !!! |
