I'm thinking Top Time dials an innards stuffed in a larger case. Seller usually is a good one so surprised to see this. Want to be sure before I email him. http://moonwatchtimepieces.com/Site/watch_detail.asp?watch_id=535&img_num=3&back= |

definitely Franken imho, even the dial seems wrong (subdials & TopTime strange), serial number would put it in 1961, not 1972, looks like Buenos Aires Edition Limitée ? The Brevet 238872 googles up on Elgin & Universal cases ? |

Patent is actualy for a movement holder for larger cases issued in 1945 - a springy metal frame that would hold the movement securely - not easy to see whether it is in this watch or not. Also can't find who it was originally licensed to - Elgin and Universal likely licensed it. |
