Hello to all.

I am new to the forum and wondered if anyone could help me to identify this watch which I have inherited from my familiy some years ago, and if is possible to know your opinion about it.

There is no number on the back and I daren´t open the case.

Hopefully the pictures will help.

Thanks in advance.

Hmm... no serial numbers on the caseback... can't really tell... looks almost like a Premier series from the 40's... but should have the Premier right below the Breitling script too then... I know you can't open the caseback but a shot of the movement always confirms things well...

welcome to the source.

hands look good, dial too, though do not so sure about the scipt B ?
Never saw a 40s piece without any numbers or engravings on the outer caseback, impossible to call without pics of inner caseback and movement.

Real dial, that's all that I'm prepared to commit to without more pictures. Shape of that caseback suggests that it could be hiding another caseback in there!

Thanks to all for your help.

I'll try to take it to a professional , open the case and I'll take some photos of the movement and post it here again. Then i hope it serves to reveal the mistery.

Hello again.

Finally the watch is open and I take two shots.

Now, please, could you help me in order to identify it?

Many thanks.

Based on that it's not original. The complete lack of markings on the caseback (inside or outside) is a death knell for this one I'm afraid. Movement could be original, but is also an easy replacement, but the case is wrong.

What value do you think about the value of this watch?

This piece isn´t working. Do you think it's worth repair?

Thanks.

In this state it's effectively worthless. It would have been worth a few bucks before someone messed with it, but now it's essentially just a 'parts watch' that isn't worth spending money on.

Or just scrap it for gold and sell the rest piece by piece...
