stumbled upon this:

looks broadly correct (Richter p41), but the 5-digit serial no. 28359 does not fit any known range.

the fact that our dear museumlounge friend has a similar watch with a 5-digit serial (and "something" removed from inner caseback) does not really make this more convincing, antiquorum sold a 3865, but does not show caseback.

price is ridiculous, but the serial no. makes this interesting:

I've seen enough of these divers with the five digit numbers to believe that they are real. 3865s and 3962s seem to have them and I have absolutely no idea why, but too many for them not to be right.

The seller is now trying through an auction , I assume reserve is set very high as well

Love the ratty, but an estimate price of GBP 12,000 - 18,000 seems a little optimistic.

will be interesting to see, this estimate seems quite high, though if you have a look at the other 13 Breitlings, estimates seem to be on the pessimistic side.

What about that Dutch ratty, did this sell ?

its still for sale on C24 so I dont think it ever sold
