Do any of you gentlemen (I take my precautions now

) know how I could find the production year when I have the case number for models prior to 1944, since the Richter book only gives production years after 1943 ?
Also do you know if the case number should always be stamped on the same side of the caseback as the reference number (exterior side) as I often see chronographs with ref. outside and case number inside ?
Last, id it normal to see Breitling engraved in script in the inside case of 1940's models ?
Thanks for your help
