Yes, it seems to be very authentic. You have to remember to that these guys are NOT ebay. They research to make sure what they are selling is the real deal. So, bid with confidence. This is a MUCH better buy than that 11k Navi to the pawn broker for sure.

Oh boy, you're very naive. I've seen hundreds of fakes in auction houses, also at Christie's.

1970 is very late for a Duograph, I've never seen one from 1970.

Oh yes, we know all about auction house fakes. Christies has however stepped up there game in an effort to keep this from happening to them. They are not above pulling items on the block if a question of authentic of not comes up. Most houses won't at that point. The research staff they have is pretty good also. I would trust them over others. The other being to that there is document case of Duograph example in the Richter book. So it is not like this thing just popped up and nobody has ever seen one ever.

Where is it documented ?

I think neither I nor Benno Richter, nor you or anyone else here have ever seen a 1970th duograph.

According to the Archives of Breitling, the present watch bearing the number 1354591 was manufactured in 1970. For a similar Breitling split seconds chronograph, see Breitling by Benno Richter, second edition, p. 110.

I can see right now not just from this but other threads that you are an argumentative type person. You had in you head when you started this thread that is watch is a fake and just wanted to get into a thread about it. Got me, I took the bait. Lesson learned Tomwak, one to ignore.
I tell ya what ya do since you got to know your stuff on all this Breitling and it is just out of the realm of possibility that this could ever have happened. Heck, there is no WAY that they could have taken this watch to Breitling SA, seeing that the auction house is like sooooo far way from the factory to verify it that it is legit. Here is the phone number, +41 22 319 17 23. Name is Sabine Kegel. You call Sabine and them that you are THE Breitling MAN and that watch is a fake and to pull it from the auction. When they ask how do you know you just say, " cause it ain't never seen one that's why"!!! That should do it.
So they found some Dougraghs that were never assembled and did in 1970. Ya think of that one, it has happened and with many other brands. Jerk.
But if you got the balls, you got the number. :poke:

And they produced a new case with a1970th serial number and printed a new dial with the new Breitling logo, extra for this one unique Duograph. A real rare prototyp :uplaugh: :uplaugh: , and a real childish story of your phantasie.

I am publicly calling you out Tomwak. If that watch is fake, prove it and have it pulled from the Christie's auction being held on Nov. 11 in Geneva. Below are the CHRISTIE'S contact numbers, not Breitling for your convenience. That lump you are feeling in your throat, that is your testicles. Put up or shut up.
