surprising number of 788s recently.

have not seen that combo either - and yes, we see Geneve dials on mid 1940s cases, but it does add additional doubt.

dislike the "watch corp." without import marking.

this is how I would expect an SS ref. 788 to look, so: on the fence again.

I do like it but I fear the hands are wrong.p, hence my post. The ones in the link you post Fred are what you hope to see I think.
