http://www.ebay.it/itm/BREITLING-OROLOGIO-AUTOMATICO-UOMO-p-l-oro-18kt-ct-750-anni-60-perfetto-/170971170367?pt=Orologi_da_Polso&hash=item27cead063f

Vendor claims it is 34mm, gold plated, automatic. Real or Junk?

Thanks

can not really read the model ref., but it looks like 1401 25; not listed in Richter, but format in line w/ other references for automatics;
or is it 2401 - then it's listed in Richter ?

would ask seller for a pic of inside caseback to see if there is a correct serial no., but gut feeling is good.

Thanks Roffensian and WatchFred,
I asked the vendor for more pictures, let see.
Should the watch be original, what would be the value, in your opinion?

Thanks

the strange truth with 3-hands is, that nicely refinished junk pieces from Buenos Aires are often selling for $800 to $1k and more, ugly China junk for $300 to 500, authentic pieces often for less than that.
go figure.

as seller restricts shipping to Italy, would hope this thread does not trigger a bidding war, assume it will end around Euro 500 max. quite sure watch is authentic, btw.

Actually when I firstly found out this forum I thought that posting a link to a good auction is not the smartest move.
But then I realized that I'd prefer to lose a a good piece than buying a fake one :-)
