Post subject:  FS: Rolex Explorer II 16570 White Dial

Selling a Rolex Explorer II Ref 16570 which is the Explorer's younger, bigger brother. In 1953, this modest time only watch featured the now-iconic 3-6-9 configuration. The initial model was designed to meet the specialized demands of explorers, as its name indicates. Providing them with a watch that was robust, sturdy, trustworthy, and simple to use in any situation. The 1953 British Mount Everest expedition had direct input towards its design. It's the perfect size for a Rolex steel sports watch, measuring 40mm in diameter and 12.2mm thick. However, it is one that can be worn for almost any occasion. Keep in mind that its successor, the Ref 216570, is a larger 42mm watch. And it's a lot less subtle. Similarly, the Ref 16570 is quite useful. Its performance is comparable to that of its stablemate, the GMT-Master II Ref 16710, but at a lower price. It's also a real tool watch. Rolex developed the Ref 16570 with explorers and adventurers in mind. As a result, it's also waterproof to a depth of 100 meters. The 3185 self-winding movement is still a tough and dependable self-winding movement. It was also the first Rolex watch with an independent hour hand and hacking seconds. It has a good 50-hour power reserve and beats at a regular frequency of 28,800 vph.
