What makes this special compared to the civilian versions of the Aerospace is that this F/A-18 Hornet special edition was available ONLY to military pilots and program staff who flew the Hornet. These were not in stores and could not be ordered by the general population.
What’s even better is the former owner (Navy pilot) sent this watch back to Breitling after it had seen some duty overseas and had it completely refurbished by Breitling and also was upgraded the newer SuperQuartz movement, accurate to ten seconds per year. On the case back underneath the model number the Breitling service center engraved “SQ” to denote the movement upgrade. The condition is EX+, crystal and AR coating is very clean, rider tabs exhibit a bit of the usual plating wear. The band is very good condition and has a lot of life left.
