Attachment: Jupiter2.jpg Attachment: Jupiter8.jpg Attachment: Jupiter9.jpg Attachment: Jupiter7.jpg Attachment: Jupiter4.jpg You won’t come across this full-set very often. An all-original Breitling Jupiter Pilot Chronograph Ref A59028 on original Jupiter steel bracelet Ref 194A, in remarkably preserved condition rarely found, functioning flawlessly, with original Breitling bakelite inner box and Breitling fighter jet outer box, Breitling wings pin, booklets and papers showing matching serial number. My understanding is that this is among the last-produced Jupiter Pilot models, its predecessor having the round date aperture. This Breitling has the black dial with silver sub-dials. All sub-dials zero precisely. The bracelet should comfortably fit a 7.5’ wrist without opening the folded expansion link built into the underside of the clasp. There are no gouges or deep scratches on the case or bracelet, just very light surface scratches or swirlies from normal, careful wear, viewable only on close examination and easily polishable although hardly necessary. The bezel is in uncommonly great condition for its age. Bezels on these Breitling models are often found in worn condition, but this one is beautifully preserved and legible as the photo attests. There is a tiny ding on the bezel perimeter at 220 degrees (7 o’clock) which is visible in the photo, although not particularly noticeable unless looking for it. While the operating manual is not available, detailed operating instructions will accompany the watch. One of the functions of this model is an alarm. I have not tested it, nor do I plan to; however, as all known functions on this Breitling are operating perfectly, I have no reason to suspect any issue with the alarm. (Like most, I rely on my Smartphone's alarm so a watch-alarm is not a necessary feature these days.) The specifications for this Breitling, obtained mainly from the Breitling Source website, are: Model: Jupiter Pilot Production Years: 1995-1998 Gender: Men's Case Material: Steel Movement: Breitling 59 Battery/Battery Life: 399/2 Years Water Resistance: 100m Bezel: Bidirectional Crown: Pushdown Crystal: Mineral Diameter: 41.5mm Thickness: 11mm Weight: 132g on Bracelet (per my Pelouze scale) Bracelet: Jupiter Pilot Bracelet Lug Width: 20mm Reference Number: A59028 This was the Breitling model that eventually evolved into the current Navitimer. The family resemblance is notable, and this Jupiter Pilot is an outright compliment-magnet. Ideal case size at 41.5mm, and not thick-as-a-brick at only 11mm in height, so it wears comfortably under shirt sleeves and is very sharp with a business-suit. BLOWOUT SALE! - Was $2175 - NOW $1599 USD shipped CONUS or Canada. Add 3% for Paypal. You won't find one in this condition, with B & P, for anywhere near this low price! No trades. |
