I am putting my Aviastar up for sale to free up some funds for other purchases. This is ref A13024, which has the blue face (the other versions had either black or Havana face colors). Per the sources I've seen, the Aviator was only made between 1996-98 and not in very large numbers - for some reason it wasn't very popular, perhaps because it is rather understating compared to most Breitlings from that era! My watch is in excellent condition, both cosmetically and mechanically. The polished case shows every imperfection, and I have tried to use lighting to highlight all of the ones I could find in the photos. The pictures were taken using the macro setting on my camera, so from more than 6 inches away the watch looks almost perfect. There are some small marks in the crystal directly above the 12 index, other than those the domed crystal looks wonderful.

The watch comes with the matching Navitimer bracelet as shown with all links. I'm also including two leather bands (non-Breitling). One has been worn with the watch and the other is brand new. Everything will be shipped in the Breitling boxset as shown. The watch movement is Breitling's caliber 13, which is based on the proven Valjoux 7750. The watch head is 16.4mm tall and 41.5mm in diameter, with a lug width of 22mm.

$1850 + shipping. Also open to trades.

Always liked these. Now have one in the Havana colourway, it took forever to find at any price. Not many of this model sold so the the Havana is super-rare, Blue is not so easy to get either, but easier. Not seen anotehr Havana since I bought mine, and I look often. Yes, you're right. Rather understated for a Breitling. Unlike many Breitlings, I can't see a bloke with 'Designer-labels', a gold-plated three iron, and a BMW/Audi wearing one.

And the fakes are even rarer, and so very obvioulsy fakes, a blind-man could spot them. Thus if you see an Aviastar, it'll be real.
