I need a pretty decent all black 806 Navitimer outer slide rule chapter ring to buy or trade for my chapter ring which is spotless (replaced by breitling) but is incorrect for my model (red accents). I presume that it was all they had !

Please let me know what you have ...

so, what 's the issue with one of the slide rules on ebay? looks like they are of decent quality and for $90.00 seems very good value ...

Regarding the current offering of all white slides on eBay...The South American ones at $95 are not correct. Look closely at the type face. Particularly the '4'.
The U.S. ones are refurbs. They are quite blurry / type is not sharp like the originals. The spacing between the marks is also inconsistent.

They are refinished... Looks like someone drew on them with marker. And The cleanly printed ones from South America are instantly recognizable as reprints because of the "blocky" numbers

You'll need some patience on this one but you'll find one.

The reburbs look like they came out of playschool ... I would rather go for the south america ones. different font but clear. I will keep on looking. Interestingly, my red accents one goes for a good price ! That'll fund my purchase of an original.
