NOW ON HOLD, PENDING A TRADE

PRICE REDUCTION - £50 OFF - NOW £2499

Gentlemen,

I've got a rather smart Breitling for sale, the Bentley GT (A13362). Dating from around 2009, this terrific watch is still under warranty from a full Breitling Service in November 2014 (paperwork included, and receipt for £625!).

This model features the terrific 'Arctica' metallic white dial, with matching 'guilloche' effect sub-registers, set in the large 44.8mm High-Polish Steel Diver's Case. The watch is set on a brown Breitling Croco strap (737P) with Pin Buckle (used, but nicely 'worn in' rather than pretty worn out).

This Chronometer Certified model, which incorporates the Breitling 25 Jewel Calibre 13B movement (based on the ETA 7750 Valjoux), was officially produced between 2004 until very recently (it's not showing among the latest B4B models, so I guess it's just been discontinued?). This example is from around 2009. The self-winding movement features the terrific Big Day & Date complications, 30 Minute and 12 Hour totalizers, a subdial main time Seconds register, with a 1/4 Second Central Chronograph hand. It has a 42 hour rated power reserve.

Since the previous owner had the watch serviced at the end of 2014, I've had my watchmaker (Steve, Ryte Time) inspect the movement, and regulate it for me (May 2015). It's running within COSC Specs (consider it within +/-5 seconds per day for the purposes of the sale). There were some minor marks on the case and caseback, so he's also given the watch a gentle polish - it looks terrific.

Some Specs and further info can be found here: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... ey_43.html

CONDITION REPORT:

Crystal: The original cambered Sapphire Crystal, immaculate condition, no marks. The Anti-Reflective coating (inside and out) is perfect.

Dial: It's a beauty! It's called 'Arctica', a series production Bentley signature shade, and is a shimmering metallic white. The Breitling logo is in applied steel above the Day/Date windows. 'Breitling 1884 for Bentley' is printed around the windows, while 'Certified Chronometer' appears in red over the lower subregister. Steel-framed Sub-registers are at 12, 6 and 9. The 'Quickset' Big Day & Date Display complication is at 3. The indices are applied polished steel markers, 'cut' where the sub-registers overlap, with a luminous dot to the outer of each. The watch has a variable tachometer, composed of a fixed scale to the outer of the dial, and a mobile scale chapter ring. All in immaculate condition.

Hands: Hour and Minute hands are steel 'Spears' or 'Pencils', with a luminous fill. The central Chronograph hand is a steel needle, with a stylised 'B' counterbalance and a red tip. All excellent, and the lume glows nicely, and lasts for a good spell.

Sub-Registers: The Main time Seconds recorder is at 9, the 30 minute totalisator at 12, and a 12 hour totalisator at 6. The hands on the sub-registers are miniature solid steel 'Spears''. All function perfectly, and 'flyback' correctly.

Case: The case is the classic diver-style, in highly-polished steel. It's a large beast (officially 44.8mm without the Crown, and 49mm including Crown). It's deep too, at 15.6mm, so wears quite proud. It's got a very substantial feel, weighing in at a chunky 128 grams on the strap, and feels sturdy and solid on the wrist. Condition is excellent. When I first got this, the case did have some visible marks and scratches, so my watchmaker has given the case (and caseback) a sympathetic polish - I'm sure you could find some negligible 'hairlines' on the the highly-polished steel finish if you really searched for them, but I am very happy with the overall condition, and there are certainly no obvious dinks or other nastiness.

I'm not sure if the strap has ever been changed, but I can't see any marks on or around the lugs.

Caseback: The caseback is a 15-sided screwback type. Markings are clear, including Model and Serial numbers. Again, the polished finish has some inevitable tiny hairlines, but nothing obvious, and certainly no obvious scratches or dinks - see photos.

Bezel: The rotating pinion bezel (bidirectional) operates the variable tachometer scale (circular slide rule). It has the iconic 'knurled' bezel edge (based on the Bentley radiator grille design), and multiple notched sections to the side, making gripping and turning very smooth indeed. Condition is excellent - no bumps or dents, minimal tiny marks on the polished-steel sides. Signed fancy script 'B' on bezel edge.

Crown/Pushers: Original 3-position screwdown-to-lock ridged-edge steel crown, clearly 'B' signed on the top, plus two smooth steel pushers. Terrific condition, and all work perfectly.

Movement/Running: I've had my watchmaker (Steve, Ryte Time) inspect this for me, and he's regulated the movement. It's running well within COSC specs - over the last 24 hours, it's accurate to +/-3 seconds - consider it within +/- 5 seconds for the purposes of the sale. The Breitling-signed Calibre 13B Automatic movement is in excellent order, and still under warranty from a full Breitling service in November 2014, so that's a little extra peace of mind. All functions work perfectly (Day & Date click over at midnight, chrono resets to zero etc.). Please note that the watch has not been pressure tested since November, and since I've subsequently had the watch regulated, I would certainly advise a full WR test before any immersion in water. The watch is rated at up to 100m when sealed.

Strap: The watch is supplied on a Breitling brown Croco strap with a polished steel Breitling pin buckle. The strap is used, and does have some signs of wear - underneath, there is plenty of 'crackling' to the leather lining, though the strap itself is still fine. There is some stretch to hole 3 (not too bad, and not splitting or threatening to merge with another hole). The keepers are intact, and feel secure, though a little 'fluffy'. The outer part of the strap is still very good - strap colour is excellent, though the Ivory stitching might benefit from a clean. Stitching is complete.

The Breitling pin buckle is in high-polish steel - it's used, but I've given it a polish, and it's come up nicely - there are some fine scratches, but nothing nasty. It's got the original style 'engraved' Breitling logo.

Box/Papers: The package includes a Breitling Yellow/Silver outer Box, the octagonal Breitling 'wood' effect presentation box (with standard broken hinges, and display cushion awol), a Service booklet, plus the order and receipt from the Breitling Service, which means it is under warranty until November 2015. There's one of the little metal Breitling badges in the case, and there's also a small printout with details of the watch when sold previously (Watchfinder, £4200, not sure of purchase date). I've also got the official Breitling 13B User Manual (as a PDF File) which will be included for the buyer.

Measurements: Width (without Crown): 44.8mm. Thickness: 15.6.8mm. Lug-to-lug: 50.6mm. Lug Width 22mm. Weight (on strap) 128 grams.

Other: Though a little smaller than the Bentley Speed or Motors chronographs, it's stretching it to call the GT a small watch - I'm 6'3", with an 8.3" wrist, and this still looks substantial when I've worn it. It's got a lovely weight to it, which I really like, and it manages to bridge the gap between dressy and sporty - it's elegant enough for the most formal occasion, yet still has that rugged 'tool' look.

The watch is in excellent condition (and has the benefit of still being under warranty from the recent full Breitling Service). I've been very thorough in my description, and if anything I tend to be over-critical. If you've read this far, you'll know it's not totally mint, but I'd be surprised if you could find a similarly aged model in as nice order as this.

On the 'bay, the going rate for one of these in similar condition seems to be about £2900 or more. Mine has the benefit of the recent service, with warranty until November, but even so I'm going to put this up for an extremely reasonable £2549. The price includes Next Day Special Delivery for UK Forum members. If you're overseas, you will need to contact me for exact Shipping costs based on destination - I'd guess £25 for Western Europe, up to a maximum £40 extra for Asia/Australia.

I reckon that's an extremely good deal for someone out there, so the price is firm. Trades/PX offers welcome, but I'm trying to rationalise the collection a bit, so ideally would prefer a straight sale. Other Breitlings or Omega Divers/Moonwatches are my weak point though...

I've loads of Feedback on here, I'm a 'Top Rated' e-bay seller (3400+ deals, 100%, username 'goonermike'), and I've got plenty of Feedback on TZ-UK (username BigBird), so there are no worries there.

I'd prefer payment by BT. PayPal if absolutely necessary, or for overseas, but I cannot accept PayPal Gifts (my account just won't accept them, and I get charged even on gifts). So if you want to use PayPal, it'll be via the 'official' route, and you'll need to add 3% to contribute towards Fees.

If I've missed anything, you'd like more info or pics, please feel free to PM me.

Cheers!

Mike

OK, pictures, spread over several posts. Please forgive the reflections (hard to avoid with the highly-polished steel finish). Head shots first:
