One-Time Reduction to £549 - up until Thursday, then will be off to the 'Bay...

Now Withdrawn...

Gentlemen,

I took this in a trade in September last year. I'm 6'3", and 21 stone, so dress watches, especially in a refined 34.4mm, are really not my thing - and this has sat in the safe since then.

It's an Omega De Ville Prestige Quartz, the 4810.52.01.

The Omega official specs and other details can be found here: http://www.omegawatches.com/collection/ ... m/48105201

The watch features the Omega Calibre 1532 6 Jewel Precision Quartz movement (Rhodium-plated by Omega, based on the ETA Flatline Series, 255.111, just 1.95mm thick!).

Timekeeping is exceptional - since September when I got this, it has lost 2 seconds...

The watch has a lovely two-tone Black Dial (sort of a 'ceramic' finish to the outer, and a metallic matt finish to the centre). The good photo above was pinched from the Omega website - I found it quite difficult to capture in the photographs I've taken, but 'in the flesh', it's very smart.

The markers are Roman Numerals in applied polished steel, as is the Omega logo, Omega name and 'De Ville' on the Dial.

The Hour and Minute hands are also polished steel, in an elegant 'Faceted Dauphine' style, while the Seconds hand is a steel needle with a long counterbalance.

There is a 'Quickset' date window at 3 o'clock, white on black. The date change works as it should, the progressive changeover is complete by about 12:30.

The case is round, polished-steel, 34.4mm without crown (36.5mm with Crown), and has a fixed plain bezel. The overall depth is just 6.08mm, so wears extremely slim and dressy on the wrist. Weight is just 31 grams. The watch is pre-owned, but was worn sparingly - there are some minor 'hairlines', mainly on the polished bezel surface, and less so on the lugs, but nothing nasty or deep. Please forgive the reflections in the photos, which are difficult to avoid due to the ploshed bezel.

The case sides are excellent, only negligible marks if any.

The signed caseback is very good too, though there is the slightest rough edge to the caseback removal slot (obviously not visible when the watch is worn, and should be easy enough to file down if desired). You can see it on the super close up photo of the non-crown case side.

The crown is a 2-position press-down type, with fluted edges, and features the Omega logo. Looks immaculate and works perfectly.

The crystal is scratch-resistant Sapphire, and immaculate.

The previous owner mounted the watch from new on a generic black leather strap (as in the photos, and included), but I also have the original unused OEM Omega leather strap (Black, with a Crocodile finish, and a polished steel Omega buckle). Lug size is 18mm.

The watch was originally rated at 3 Bar Water Resistant, but hasn't been pressure tested recently - though why you'd want to swim in a dress watch is beyond me anyway...

It comes double-boxed, and with the original Pictogram Card, Instruction Book, Document Wallet and Hang Tag. All in very good to excellent condition. Though I don't have the original Warranty Card, I know that the watch was purchased around Christmas 2012, so is just over 2 years old (Serial Number is correct for 2012). The price on the hang tag is £1200.

My watchmaker inspected this for me back at the end of September, and fitted a new Renata 373 at the time, so that won't be an issue for a while (the 1532 movement is rated at 25 months Power Reserve, with a Battery EOL indicator).

That just about sums it up I guess. Overall condition is excellent, some light swirlies and hairlines, but nothing obvious or nasty.

Do have a good look at the photos - they will enable you to evaluate the cosmetic condition far better than my waffle...

I've had a good look around to see the going rate for these. Omega no longer make the Quartz Prestige in this size, but the last RRP I could find was £1290. Prices for used examples seem quite strong on the 'Bay, especially for the Black dial version, with some sellers asking almost retail prices! Chrono24 has one in similar condition to mine for £850+.

I'll put this up at an extremely reasonable £599 NOW £549 - That's better than 50% off retail for a watch barely 2 years old, and in excellent pre-owned condition. The price includes Next Day RMSD for UK members. Overseas will need to contact me for exact Shipping costs based on destination, but I'll use a Tracked & Insured Delivery Service, so you're looking at an extra £20-£30 I'd guess (it's a heavy package).

I've loads of Feedback on here, I'm a 'Top Rated' e-bay seller (3200+ deals, 100%, username 'goonermike'), and I've got plenty of Feedback on TZ-UK (username BigBird), so there are no worries there.

I'd prefer payment by BT. PayPal if absolutely necessary, or for overseas, but I cannot accept PayPal Gifts (my account just won't accept them, and I get charged even on gifts). So if you want to use PayPal, it'll be via the 'official' route, and you'll need to add 3% to cover Fees.

If I've missed anything, you'd like more info or pics, please feel free to PM me.

Cheers!

Mike
