ON HOLD PENDING TRADE

Gentlemen,

Up for grabs is a stunning Breitling for Bentley Motors Special Edition Automatic, the A25362. I've literally just collected this back following a full Breitling UK Service (which cost an eye-watering £568 - receipt with 1 year warranty included). It's not been worn since I collected it (Service Sticker on Dial in place, temporarily removed for photos, then replaced).

Following the overhaul, the watch is as about as minty as you can get, plus comes with a year's official Breitling Warranty - lovely.

This Chronometer Certified model, which incorporates the Breitling 38 Jewel Calibre 25B movement (based on the ETA 2892), was officially produced between 2002 to 2010 (I believe mine was manufactured in 2003, purchased in 2004). The mechanical self-winding high-frequency (28800vph) movement features the 1/8th second Chronograph complication, with 30 second, 15 minute and 6 hour totalizers. It has a 42 hour rated power reserve.

As you'd expect, following the Service it's running within COSC Specs, timed at about +2 seconds per day (and will no doubt settle down with use).

Official Specs and more details can be found here: http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... ey_17.html

I'd normally provide a full 'Condition Report' on a pre-owned watch, but it's pointless in this case - following the Breitling Service, the watch is in immaculate condition - I really can't find any marks or cosmetic issues of any kind, so I'll just run through the salient points:

Crystal: Cambered Sapphire Crystal, glare-proofed both sides.

Dial: Deep 'Neptune Blue' Dial, matching Blue SubRegisters. Applied bevelled steel baton markers. Applied steel Breitling logo. Signed 'Breitling for Bentley Motors' above centre, '30 Seconds Chronograph' above lower register. White 'variable tachometer' Slide Rule Chapter ring. Lumed 'squares' to outer of markers. Quickset Date window at 4, Red on White. All in immaculate condition, lume is superb.

Hands: Hour and Minute hands are slim steel 'swords', with a luminous fill. The central (30 Seconds Recorder) Chronograph hand is steel, needle style with a red tip, and a fancy 'B' counterbalance. The hands have all been replaced at the Service, and the lume glows like a torch, and lasts for a good spell.

SubDial Registers: Matching Deep Blue SubDials with 'guilloche' concentric circle finish: Main time Seconds recorder at 3, 6 hour totalisator at 6, 15 minute totalisator at 9. Hands on first two SubDials are lumed mini versions of the main hands, the hand on the register at 9 is a steel arrow. All function perfectly, and 'flyback' correctly.

Case: Stunning, mirror-polished steel, with the knurled Bentley-inspired bezel. Huge, at 48.7mm, and deep, a proud 15.2mm. In pristine condition, refurbished by Breitling to it's original factory appearance.

Caseback: The caseback is a 15-sided screwback type. Markings are clear, including Model and Serial numbers, again immaculate.

Bezel: Iconic 'knurled' Bentley Bezel, highly-polished, which rotates correctly with a soft resistance for feel (like on the Hercules).

Crown/Pushers: Original 3 position Screw-Down ridged-edge steel crown, clear 'B' signed. Two steel pushers. Immaculate condition, and all work perfectly.

Movement/Running: As you imagine after a full Service, in perfect mechanical order. Watch overhaul included new gaskets and a Pressure Test, so OK for swimming etc (rated to 100m).

Bracelet: Original high-polished Breitling Bentley 'Speed' bracelet - possibly the nicest watch bracelet ever! Immaculate, looks like new. It's currently sized with 8 links (6 permanent, 2 removable), so at a conservative estimate the watch will fit a wrist size of up to 7.5" (@ 190mm). I've also got one spare link (with screws), so that takes it up to @ 8" (@ 200mm). There's also a further 6mm 'micro-adjustment' on the clasp. The micro-adjustment' feature on the clasp is handy for changes in temperature, and makes it easier to size the bracelet exactly. The bracelet is completed with the Breitling-signed foldover clasp. The bracelet is correctly signed 970A and with a reference of S0803, giving it an original production date of August 2003.

Box/Papers: I don't have the original Box and Papers, but the watch will be provided with the newly received Breitling Service/Travel Case with Display Cushion and polishing cloth, the receipt for the full Service (dated 4 February 2015), a spare link for the bracelet, plus I have the 25B Calibre Operating Instructions on a PDF File.

Measurements: Width (without Crown): 48.7mm. (53mm with Crown): Thickness: 15.2mm. Lug-to-lug: 53.5mm. Lug Width 24mm. Weight 214 grams

Other: This was in pretty excellent condition when I got it late last year in a trade, but the calendar was slightly misaligned which bugged me. As the movement is proprietary, I had to get Breitling to sort it out - and they insisted that it was a full Service job! So I took the plunge, and 3 months (and £568) later, I have probably the nicest Breitling for Bentley Motors Special Edition in existence! I love it, but I know I'll rarely if ever wear it, and it makes sense to move it on with the new 1 Year warranty, and before I get finger marks all over it...

On the 'bay, the cheapest I could find was an older non Box/Paper version, no warranty, with a discoloured chapter ring, which is advertised at £2700. For a model vaguely comparable to mine, the prices start at around £3400 and go to well over £4000. If you want a warranty, you're almost certainly looking at over £4000! Even then, I don't believe you'd find one of these in nicer condition (i.e. direct from a full Service), and with a Breitling 1 year warranty for added peace of mind.

I'll put this up at an extremely reasonable £3199. The price includes Guaranteed Next Day Special Delivery for UK Bidders. If you're overseas, you'll need to add £17 for Western Europe, £25 for the US/Canada and rest of the world.

I reckon that's an extremely good deal for someone out there, so the price is firm. Trades/PX offers welcome, Omega and Breitling are my soft spots...but I'm trying to rationalise the collection a bit, so ideally would prefer a straight sale.

I've loads of Feedback on here, I'm a 'Top Rated' e-bay seller (3200+ deals, 100%, username 'goonermike'), and I've got plenty of Feedback on TZ-UK (username BigBird), so there are no worries there.

I'd prefer BT. PayPal if absolutely necessary, or for overseas, but I cannot accept PayPal Gifts (my account just won't accept them, and I get charged even on gifts). So if you want to use PayPal, it'll be via the 'official' route, and you'll need to add 3% (3.5% Overseas) to contribute towards Fees.

If I've missed anything, you'd like more info or pics, please feel free to PM me.

Cheers!

Mike

OK, Photos (spread over several posts due to bandwidth) - let's start with some standard head shots - apologies for the reflections, it's a mirror-polish finish, so pretty difficult to avoid...:
