I am planning to sell my Breitling 806 from 1956:

- From 56 means: 120 beads bezel, 871x serial number, BOW marked 178 movement, all black dial. The dial is a very rare one: B logo + Breitling + written AOPA logo together. Only a few are known is what I hear and read.

- This watch is not a safe queen, the first owner was a lieutenant of the Belgian Air Force who served in Congo among other places and used the watch on a daily basis (in planes, on motorcycles and hanging on a parachute). I have a letter of the grandson (from whom I bought the watch) and some nice documentation regarding the military provenance.

- The watch is in a perfect working condition: keeps good time and the chronograph resets nicely. I don't have any service history. Please note that the crystal is a very old scratched one. There are no scratches on the dial.

- besides the hands that are a later replacement (I think these hands were used on the later 806's with white subdials, please correct me if I'm wrong) everything is 100% original.

I ask 4750 euro. I have tons of references on various watchplatforms. Reduced to 4000!

Due to privacy reasons I don't like to post the full name of the first owner here. Also the reason why I don't post a pic of the outside caseback: it's engraved with the name and address of the father of the first owner. If something happened abroad he hoped the person(s) who found him would send his belongings to his parents.
