I am planning to sell my Breitling 806 from 1956:
- From 56 means: 120 beads bezel, 871x serial number, BOW marked 178 movement, all black dial. The dial is a very rare one: B logo + Breitling + written AOPA logo together. Only a few are known is what I hear and read.
- This watch is not a safe queen, the first owner was a lieutenant of the Belgian Air Force who served in Congo among other places and used the watch on a daily basis (in planes, on motorcycles and hanging on a parachute). I have a letter of the grandson (from whom I bought the watch) and some nice documentation regarding the military provenance.
- The watch is in a perfect working condition: keeps good time and the chronograph resets nicely. I don't have any service history. Please note that the crystal is a very old scratched one. There are no scratches on the dial.
- besides the hands that are a later replacement (I think these hands were used on the later 806's with white subdials, please correct me if I'm wrong) everything is 100% original.
I ask 4750 euro. I have tons of references on various watchplatforms. Reduced to 4000!
