In 2003, Rolex announced that they are releasing a 50th anniversary submariner with a maxi-dial and a green bezel. These models were only produced for a handful of years before the ceramic version came out.
The ‘Y’ serial is the rarest of the LV’s (kind of like the Metres first Red Sub). These were very limited in production and were produced in 2003. Many call them the true 50th anniversary submariners.

This watch was never serviced nor polished. Was only worn 3 times last week. Comes with Mark 1 Bezel in MINT condition and Mark 1 dial. The bezel is the GORGEOUS lime green insert that is even coded as a different model number in the rolex part catalogue!
