OR Strap NOW OHPF - THANKS TO BUYER AND BS

Gentlemen,

Up for grabs is a Breitling Black Rubber Ocean Racer Strap 22mm (22-20) (Ref 200S), together with the Foldover Push-Button Deployant clasp in highly-polished steel.

This is preowned, and has been used - though it's only been worn about 5 times, and remains in super condition.

The rubber has had three of the 12 segments removed at original fitting, but the straps are huge to start with, and this one will still fit a wrist of up to about 8.2" (208mm). Obviously more segments can be removed for the smaller wristed out there. I've given the exact measurements below. I've cleaned the rubber with a sterilising solution, so you're guaranteed a DNA-free strap.

The clasp is excellent, with some very light 'desk-diver' swirlies, but nothing remotely deep or obvious - the pictures are a fair reflection of condition. 5 minutes with a Cape Cod would probably tidy it up even more, but the marks on it are the type that will be back in a few days of normal wear anyway. It's working properly, nice snappy clasp, and the micro-adjuster in place.

The clasp will work with 24mm (24-20) Ocean Racer rubber straps as well, and as the new Diver Pro III straps come with the push-button clasp option, it will work on those too.

Nearly forgot - OEM Spring Bars are also included with the strap , so you're ready to rumble straight away.

Strap Measurements: 22mm at lug-fitting ends, 20mm at clasp. One side has one segment removed, and measures 75mm, the other side has 2 segments removed, and measures 70mm. End to end with the clasp closed, you've got a total length of about 167mm - add in your standard watch head of @ 41mm, it takes it to 208mm (8.2"). As a guide, the strap fits my 8.25" wrist just about perfectly with a Steelfish or a Seawolf fitted...

The list price on this combo is £320 at your friendly AD. Bearing in mind the light use and the removed segments, I'd like £200 for this, UK Signed-For Delivery included. Overseas please add £7 to cover Tracked & Insured International shipping.

I've loads of Feedback on here, I'm a 'Top Rated' e-bay seller (2390+ deals, 100%, username 'goonermike'), and I've got plenty of Feedback on TZ-UK ('BigBird'), so there are no worries there.

I'd prefer BT, certainly for UK buyers. I can accept PayPal if absolutely necessary, or for overseas, but I cannot accept PayPal Gifts (my account just won't accept them, and I get charged even on gifts). So if you want to use PayPal, it'll be via the 'official' route, and you'll need to add 3.4% to cover Fees.

If I've missed anything, you'd like more info or pics, please feel free to PM me.

Cheers!

Mike

Sorry Mike, you have been duped with the last Croco Strap.
It's a fake I'm afraid.
743P is a tang type, yours should be 744P.
I KNOW it's not intentionally from your side.

Thanks bnewbie,

A quick search on the 'net confirms it

I go this in December from a well-established 300+ 100% Profiled e-bay member, who is about to get a rather sharp e-mail... I didn't pick the discrepancy up at the time, so my fault too.

All references to the croco strap and clasp now removed.

Much appreciated!

Mike

You are always welcome.
It's a good fake with "Croco veritable" written.
Lots of people would be tricked with it.
Hope you'll get the refund.

Thanks bnewbie,

The croco strap is an annoyingly good fake - I've just compared it to an original - apart from the Reference number, it is pretty much identical.

It's possible that the original e-bay seller was taken in too - as this was 5 months ago, he's under no obligation to do anything, but his profile suggests that this may have been a genuine error (his strap was a one-off listing, he sells all sorts of stuff, not watch related). I'll see how he responds to my e-mail.

Cheers

Mike

The Ocean Racer Strap is now OHPF - thanks to buyer, and Eddie as always.

I wonder if it's another Breitling quality control issue again, like the other "fake croco" thread here.
I don't see any photos to compare.
