Fortis B-42 automatic chronograph alarm. The watch was bought new in October 2011 is in immaculate condition and has not been worn for the last eight months. The UK retail price for this watch is £6,520.

The chronograph alarm is the world’s first automatic chronograph alarm by Fortis with patented technology. The movement is a calibre F 2001-5, 13¼, 35 jewels, 28,8000 semi-vibrations per hour with Incabloc shock absorber, with two barrels to guarantee the power reserve of the watch movement and the alarm. The rotor winds both of the spring barrels at the same time. The sound spring in the form of a tuning fork and the alarm hammer allows for a strong alarm signal that lasts up to 25 seconds.

The B-42 is a large and substantial watch, sturdy and durable. It has a matte / satinised stainless steel case with thick lugs and solid steel screw on back. The watch has got a ratcheted uni directional rotating bezel. It has a sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating on both sides and water resistant to 200 metres. The dial is matt black with large and bold white hands and numbering, these have a super luminova luminous coating. Date function at the 3 position in black with white print and it has a contrasting red sweep central sweep second hand with luminous dot towards the end of the hand. Large crown and pushers for easy operation. Comes on high quality durable brown leather Fortis strap with white stitching and signed matte / satinised pin buckle. The strap is moulded towards the lugs making it a snug fit. The bars are screw in bars. Fortis reference number is 639.22.11 L08. It comes complete with box, instructions, paperwork, hang tag and 2 year manufacturers warranty.

Width is 42 mm excluding crown and 46 mm including crown, Lug to lug is 54 mm, Thickness is 16 mm. The watch is in excellent unmarked condition and the price is a bargain at £2300. Im not really interested in trades unless for a Steve McQueen Monaco or a white dial Breitling Aerospace.
