Post subject:  WTB Breitling 1806/1809 Outer Bezel

New to the forum and thought this might be a good place to find a part I just lost. I never wear my 1806 but last week when I looked down the bezel had popped off. I must have hit it on something and didn't notice. Does anyone out there have an extra bezel? I called one repair center and they have one that replace my lost one but will want to do a total restoration and not sell just the parts. My hope is to find one and return this watch back to my drawer. I see some have sold on Ebay but not in recent months. Help anyone? Thanks! Chris

Thanks! I only check US Ebay so wouldn't have seen them. I'll go there now. CC

I have contacted them through Ebay.de using both English and German. It took me a while to navigate the German site since I don't speak the language. $250 for one bezel and $520 for the other seems pricey. I think I'll bid on the 1806 case I also saw and just sell the other parts of I win....since it's an auction rather than buy-it-now. I know as soon as I buy a bezel the one I lost will be found. I remember hearing a little "ting" noise that day while working downstairs but it didn't occor to me that that could have been my bezel.

The NOS one is defintely overpriced, the other is more in line with prices I have seen. You might try to contact Lester Harrison in the UK, ebay seller mqw89mkm.
He does not have any listed currently, but might still have some lying around.

The case would have to go quite cheaply to make sense, the back cover signatures are gone, will be a tough sale without the bezel.

Maybe wait for some days and see if your bezel reappears ?

I would go search first to see what the 'ting' was .. i'd do a lot of searching for anything that costs between $250-$500 :D

I can't remember in what room the "ting" was in. I've looked in my work area where I was testing vacuum tubes and working most of the day but haven't been able to find the bezel. My downstairs is worthy of being on the TV show Hoarders.
