Now withdrawn to the 'bay...
And now SOLD.
Gentleman,
Most on here will know the iconic Breitling Hercules.
The official specs are here:
http://www.breitlingsource.com/watch_de ... nal_5.html (Mine is the a39363, with the Blue dial and White subdials.)
I'm a gorilla-wristed individual, so big watches have always been my preference - and the Hercules, at nearly 45mm, was the biggest Breitling made at the time. It also remains the heaviest they've ever produced (officially 215 grams, in reality, it's around 240 grams). It was a bit of a personal grail for me, and after lusting after one for some time, I ended up with two...

I've recently sold the first one, a really nice pre-owned Grey dial version to a member on Breitling Source as a result of a WTB, (it's winging its way to Texas as we speak), but I have another, and I've decided to let it go too.
After badgering my AD for ages, he came through with flying colours - he'd found me a
brand new, factory condition Hercules, and provided me with a full 2 years Breitling Warranty. I've had it for two months, and I've literally taken it out of the box twice, to take photographs, and time it on my winder (I ran it for 3 days, and it was running at +-1 second per day).
I live on a working farm, and Swiss watches and Thoroughbred horses are not the happiest combination. I can't see the point of letting the warranty run down while it lives in a safe, so I've decided to let this one go too.
The watch has never been worn, still has the factory seal on the bracelet, and has a full Box and Papers set, including an AD stamped warranty dated 17 September 2011 - so nearly 22 months of Official Breitling Warranty remain.
The package: As well as the watch, you'll get: Outer White Box, Inner 'Aeroplanes' Breitling Black/Yellow design Box, Breitling Bakelite Box (with factory seal still in place), inner Black Breitling Leather case, Hang Tag, Yellow Document Holder box, Instruction Manual, COSC Certificate, International Warranty. The outer white box is in 95% condition, everything else is absolutely mint.
The pics, starting with the dial - (you can see the AR coating in some shots):

Case and pushers etc:

Size comparison - next to a Steelfish XL and a SMP Chrono

Backcase and Bracelet (still in factory seal):

By request, a couple off the wrist...

(bracelet factory seals not disturbed):

Obligatory Lume shot:

Full Paperwork, including Breitling warranty with @ 22 months remaining:

And finally, the boxes (outer white not shown, factory seal still on Bakelite box):

OK, on to the nitty-gritty stuff..
The last retail price of these was £2200 back at the end of 2006. Replacement value for a new one today is obviously much higher, with inflation, and the simple fact that you can't get them 'new' anymore. A quick trawl through the 'bay shows top condition models (with Box and Papers) fetch between £1800 and £2300. None of those are actually new and won't come with any warranty. Mine is genuinely new, and has @ 22 months of Official Breitling warranty, so it's quite difficult to price this.
It'll cost me a bundle in fees to sell on the 'bay, so how about we pretend that the last 5 years have been inflation-free? I'm prepared to let this go at the 2006 RRP of £2200 £2100 NOW
£1999!!. I reckon that's a cracking price for a genuinely new, unmolested Hercules, still in it's factory seals, with @ 22 months of Official Breitling warranty - let's face it, when is one like this likely to pop up again?
The price includes UK Next Day Special Delivery (fully insured). Overseas buyers will pay a little more for Shipping/Insurance - depending on location. If you're interested, I'll work out a shipping quote for you.
I've got a fair few references on here, loads on TZ-UK (username 'BigBird'), and I'm a Top-Rated Seller on e-bay (1770+, 99.9%, username 'goonermike'), so no problems there.
I'd much prefer a BT for this beauty, though if absolutely necessary, I'll take a PP Gift, or gross up a PP Invoice if you want to go 'official'. Overseas by Bank wire transfer, or by PayPal, with +3.5% to cover fees.
Any questions, feel free to PM me.
Cheers
Mike
