I can only speak for myself, but the Steelfish never held any interest for me. I just don't think it looks good...

Dear Mr. Rødner,

excuse the open words, but this is what I would consider a breach of "forum respect".

You might not like the fish, many others love it and you are not in a discussion thread here, but in a respected forum member´s FS thread.

Not all of us might like the Navi World quite as much as you do, but all of respect the fact that you love it and want to show your love to all of us quite frequently

@preimel: beautiful piece, GLWS !

@WatchFred, @preimel: No disrespect was meant, simply an observation. If I hurt any feelings, I am sorry about that.

That said, it is my opinion, and I stand by it, which is why I have opted to leave my post as-is.

When I posted it, I had not checked post-dates and times, and thought that preimel was bumping it as he had had no response in a longish time, which was why I posted my opinion. I see now, that the two posts were posted within 13 hours of each other, which strikes me as odd, though I do not know what the common practice is here.

As to it being a breach of forum respect, I strongly disagree, but again, I am new to the forum, and am inexperienced with what the commonly accepted practice here. It certainly would not be a breach of forum respect at the other forums I have frequented in the past.

Posting this as a separate post, as I do not want it caught up in any debate around forum etiquette and decorum.

@preimel, It absolutely looks like a well-loved piece, and I wish you the best of luck regarding the sale. Do you mind if I inquire as to why you are selling it?

Just bought a new CSO. i have three watches now, and i was thinking about getting rid of one.
I have my CSO, my steelfish and a coral SO. I really like the SO, so i'm considering selling the steelfish.
I may end up keeping it, i guess i'm just testing the water.

With all do respect, this is not the opinion section of the forum. His thread was not asking what people think of the watch....its a "sale" post. Therefore your opinions are completely out of place and inappropriate. There is a separate place (as you well know) on this forum to discuss how people like certain models, but the classifieds is not one of them.

AFAIK, you're not even allowed to post a compliment or any comment for that matter on a FS thread on other forums...

+1 This is a very cool watch and if you can swing it I would hang on to it. I have the same model with the cream dial. 2006 and maybe early 2007 was the only year you could get the 44mm size and the stoplight second hand! If I had the funds I would buy it in a second because I feel this will be a collectible model in years to come! Just my two cents worth!

How would I know? I am new to the forum, and have not had much experience with the commonly accepted practice here. It has been different at the other forums that I frequent, as I have already stated.

At any rate, it has not been my intention to hijack this thread, and for that, I would like to offer my apologies to preimel.

This is a pretty open forum. The specific rule is no comments on price. Other forum members frequently give a "nice watch" or "wish I had the funds, I'd buy it" or "GLWS" on these threads. The point of this forum and allowing comments on FS threads is we are a generally supportive community.

I consider a comment about not liking the subject of the FS thead inappropriate as a matter of common courtesy - it doesn't belong here and there is no reason for it. And if it was my FS thread, I'd be a bit POed over comments about disliking what I am trying to sell or inquiring why I am selling it.

BTW - LOVE the Fish and GLWS :lingsrock:

Guys,

One of the things that sets BreitlingSource apart is the fact that people can comment on sales threads, and I don't want to lose that. We rarely edit / delete posts anywhere, and this section is no different unless it breaches the rule on commenting on price. But............

Just ask yourself how you would feel if someone made the comment about a watch that you had for sale. If you wouldn't like it, then don't post it - there are plenty of other sections of the forum to express your views.

Preimel, iconic Breitling - GLWS, if you really do want to sell
