I should pre-empt any backlash to the following by saying that it is in no way a criticism of the seller as s/he has the right to deal with the sale as and how s/he sees fit. This is more an observation which may assist (or may not depending on how it is taken)
Anyway, I've been watching this sale with interest since the OP.
Having owned a few Emergency models in the past, perhaps if it was serviced (as it's overdue one) which would sort out the "scuffs" on the back, the paperwork (COSC certificate) that's missing was obtained (unfortunately a re-issue of the service/warranty book isn't a possibility) it might stand a better chance of a sale.
At £1800, it would then be a better price for a newly serviced Emergency, without all its papers, on a Diver Pro strap (albeit damaged/non standard). Going by the prices quoted, a spend in the region of £400 would be required to achieve this but on the other hand, would a price reduction to £1400 have been an option?
