Hi everyone

To make room for something else, this IWC Aquatimer is on the chopping block.

It's a lovely watch that catches the light in so many different ways that I really enjoy looking at it. I've had the chrono version before and although it looked nice, it was always a bit of a beast. Whereas this one is much more wearable on a daily basis.

It's 2000m (which is vital for desk diving) and has a great multi-coloured lume on the hands (inc seconds), dial and sapphire coated bezel.

The main crystal is slightly domed and anti-reflective on both sides, but the bezel is mirror flat and un-coated, which makes for interesting reflections and highlights. The movement is a Top-grade ETA 2892, with unknown changes from IWC. According to reviewers, it's hand-adjusted. Winding is so smooth that it's actually hard to discern, and the crown threads are easy to engage and butter-smooth.

This watch is about 3 years old and in very good condition. There are no major marks to speak of and the strap is in good condition. It comes with inner and outer boxes, cleaning cloth, strap tools and instruction booklet. There is no warranty card as this was lost by the original owner.

Asking £WITHDRAWN

I will ship internationally to most countries, but this will be at the buyer's cost.

Give me a shout if you have any questions.

Reduced to £1800 and I'll throw in an IWC service case, which is great for travelling.

Will consider a trade for a Girard Perregaux Sea Hawk II Pro 1000m with black bezel.

An update on this - I phoned IWC today to see if I could confirm the date of the watch and it's slightly older than expected as they confirmed it was manufactured in 2010.

The manual that came with the watch says it should be serviced every 5 years, which is obviously now.

So to save the new buyer organising a service, I'm going to get it serviced which is take around 8 weeks.

Once I get it back it will be back up for sale with a fresh service and 1 year warranty.

Give me a shout if you have any questions.
