Now withdrawn, and can be found on eBay (with a 99p start price and No Reserve!)Gentlemen and others,
Up for grabs is a lovely Breitling watch, a Wings Automatic from the Windrider Series. It's the all steel A10350 Model (Serial 332677).
This is the superior Chronometer Certified model, which incorporates the Breitling 21 Jewel Calibre 10 movement (based on the ETA 2892-A2), and was officially produced between 1996 and 2005. Mine is a 2001 model, the later iteration of the Wings model with the 'Chronometre Officiellement Certifie' on the Dial. The self-winding movement features a date complication, and it has a 42 hour rated power reserve.
I've had my watchmaker (Steve, Ryte Time) inspect the movement, and regulate it for me. It's running beautifully, and keeps accurate time (I've just had it on the winder over 24 hours, from a powered down start, and it lost about 5 seconds - previously when I had it fully 'charged', it was better than that, within a couple of seconds per day - consider it within +/-10 seconds per day for the purposes of the sale).
Some Specs and further info can be found here:

Crystal: The Sapphire Crystal is in perfect condition, no marks of any kind.
Dial: It's a beauty! It's a super crisp white, with applied steel double-baton markers (triple at 12), an applied steel Breitling logo, minute markers, and a double-stepped chapter ring - Compass Points and Degree Readings on the lower step, 0-100 Scale on the upper step. There's a Quickset Date Window at 3, Black on White. There are small rectangular lumed sections at the outer of each marker. All in immaculate condition, lume is excellent for a 'dressy' watch.
Hands: Hour and Minute hands are pointed steel 'Pencils', with a luminous fill. The central Seconds hand is steel, with a lumed arrowhead tip, and a stylised 'B' counterbalance. All excellent, and again, the lume glows nicely, and lasts for a good spell.
Case: The case is a classic diver-style, in highly-polished steel. It's a very wearable 38mm (42mm including crown), and has a proud presence on the wrist - it's just over 13mm deep. Condition is excellent - there are some unavoidable 'hairlines' and minor swirls on the mirror-polish finish, but no dinks or other nastiness. I've given it a very light clean, and it has come up beautifully, and I'm struggling to find anything detrimental.
Caseback: The caseback is a 15-sided screwback type. Markings are clear, including Model and Serial numbers, again with some negligible hairlines at worst, and no scratches or dinks - see photos. There is a light engraving either side of the Model and Serial Number, of 'Siemens' and '2001' - presumably the watch was originally some sort of corporate gift to the 'Salesman of the Month' or Fred in the Postroom's 25 year stint...
Bezel: There is a unidirectional steel bezel, which turns smoothly with 60 nicely ratcheted 'clicks'. It's in a high-polish finish to the upper surface and sides. It has a riveted outer, traditional diver engraved markings, with raised riders at the quarters. The chimney (where the bezel meets the crystal) has one or two light scuff marks, nothing deep, just shiny. Lumed 'pip' at 12. Signed in Script 'B' on bezel edge at 58. One or two very light marks and hairlines on the bezel, but only if you're really looking for them, and considering the mirror-polished finish, less than you'd imagine.
Crown: Original 3-position press-down 'Pineapple' ridged steel crown. Really nice condition, works perfectly.
Movement/Running: I've had my watchmaker (Steve, Ryte Time) inspect this for me, and he's regulated the movement. It's running well - over the last 24 hours, I've timed it at -5 spd from flat - to be on the safe side consider it within +/- 10 seconds for the purposes of the sale. The Breitling-signed Calibre 10 Automatic movement is in excellent order, the sweeping movement running accurately with a strong reserve. The 'Quickset' date clicks over at midnight as it should. Please note that the watch has not been pressure tested recently - the A10350 is rated at up to 100M, but I would advise a full WR test before immersion in water.
Bracelet/Strap: The watch is supplied as I originally received it, on a Navy Morellato strap with Gilt buckle. It's a perfectly nice strap, but doesn't quite work in my opinion, so I've sourced a brand new 19mm Breitling Black Hide strap (420X), with the classic Ivory contrast stitching, and a Breitling highly-polished steel buckle (new raised style logo). It's never been out of its original sleeve, let alone mounted, and is included with the watch. The RRP for this new strap/buckle alone is £160.
Box/Papers: No. I got this as part of a trade, and it was the watch only. I'll include a Breitling Travel Case for the new owner, with padded insert and cleaning cloth. Easy to date the watch to 2001 as per the inscription as mentioned above. The movement has been inspected and regulated by my watchmaker, so no worries there.
Measurements: Width (without Crown): 38.0mm. (42mm with Crown). Thickness: 13.2mm. Lug-to-lug: 43mm. Lug Width 19mm. Weight (on strap) 82 grams.
Other: Despite the 'Diver' styling, the Wings Automatic is a very 'dressy' watch in comparison with most Breitlings - it's a restrained 38mm, and the sharp white dial, with the steel hands and markers, all set in the highly-polished steel case is elegant rather than flashy. I've got pretty large wrists (8.3"), and do tend to prefer a larger watch, but this is a very nice 'dress alternative' to my usual Hercules or SOC M2000 beasts!
This is a lovely example of the Wings Automatic - it's in super condition, and though I don't have any history for it, it's certainly appears to have been well maintained by its previous owner(s). The watch is somewhere around the 13 year old mark, but even if I say so myself, the condition on this one is remarkably good. I've been very thorough in my description, and if anything I tend to be over-critical. If you've read this far, you'll know it's not entirely mint, but I'd be surprised if you could find a similarly aged model in as nice order as this.
Pricing for this is tricky - on the 'bay, several tatty examples are being advertised at a start price of around the £950 mark. The cheapest comparable example I could find to mine was advertised at a starting price of £1195. Of those actually sold, the non-Chronometer versions can go quite cheaply, but a comparable model to mine went for £1349. Some are advertised at considerably higher than that, by some very optimistic sellers!
Bearing in mind the condition of mine, and the brand new Breitling Strap, I'm going to put this up at an
extremely reasonable £950. The price includes Next Day Special Delivery for UK Forum members. If you're overseas, I'll ship this by insured and tracked mail - you will need add £15 for Europe, £20 for the ROTW.
I reckon that's an extremely good deal for someone out there, so the price is firm. Trades/PX offers welcome - other Breitlings or Omega Divers/Moonwatches are my weak point...
I've loads of Feedback on here, I'm a 'Top Rated' e-bay seller (2850+ deals, 100%, username 'goonermike'), and I've got tons of Feedback on TZ-UK (username BigBird), so there are no worries there.
I'd prefer payment by BT. PayPal if absolutely necessary, or for overseas, but I cannot accept PayPal Gifts (my account just won't accept them, and I get charged even on gifts). So if you want to use PayPal, it'll be via the 'official' route, and you'll need to add 3% to contribute towards Fees.
If I've missed anything, you'd like more info or pics, please feel free to PM me.
Cheers!
Mike
