Hi All,

Although I'm a newbie here, I'm a regular at TZ-UK with a long history of buying and selling watches. I hope you'll forgive an intrusion into your forum for the purposes of simply selling :) FYI, I'm based in the UK and I work in Covent Garden.

I bought this on July 4th after lusting after it for a few months. I didn't wear it until I went away on holiday and over the course of a few weeks started yearning for my Panerai. There's nothing wrong with this watch at all, I just find it a little pedestrian for my taste. I suspect I would have been happier buying the version with Arabic numbers or even the Seawolf version.

It's the new model Avenger II which is advertised at 43mm. I find it wears pretty much the same as a new 42mm Explorer II. The blue face is stunning and changes from a very deep inky blue to a lighter blue depending on the light. The quality of the piece is superb, indexes beautifully applied, nice chunky crown and a firm clunk to the 24hr bezel.

The GMT isn't a 'true' GMT with hacking hour hand, but I didn't really find it a problem. You do get a quickset date that you don't have on an Explorer or GMT, so if it's in a box for a few weeks it's easier to set up.

The watch, being highly polished, has picked up some light surfaces scratches which you can see in the pictures. Nothing, I'm sure, that couldn't be polished out.

It's complete with all boxes, paperwork and spare links. I paid £3,230 this summer. This listing is now down to £2,600 on TZ-UK, so that's what I'll offer it up for here. Payment by bank transfer and I'll cover courier costs within the UK.

Cheers,

Simon

PS: Although I'm really looking for a straight sale, I could be tempted into a trade with a 42mm Abyss in yellow if the price is right.

How about a reduction to £2,500 including delivery within the UK?
