Used Rubbers for Sale!

Not an expression you hear every day, is it? However, in this case, it's some Breitling rubber bits that need a new home.

First up is an Ocean Racer, in Black, a 24mm (24-20), Ref 201S. This came off a SOH 46 that I sold a while back. The original owner had cut this strap down, so I fitted a new strap to the SOH, which leaves me with this. The strap has had 6 of the 12 5mm segments removed (3 each side). These straps start out fairly huge, so it should still be good for about an 8" (200mm) wrist - see calculation below.

Each of the strap sides measure 70mm. Add in the extra length the push-button clasp will give you (you can get at least 25mm), plus a very conservative watch head measurement of 35mm, that means that this strap will be good for a wrist of up to 20mm (8 inches). I'm fairly sure that you could get a little more length (I've been erring on the low side if anything with the figures).

Anyway, the strap is in very good used condition (apart from being sized!). There are light signs of use, but only slightly shiny edges, no cuts or nicks. I'll also give it a sterile bath before sending it out, so no free DNA is included...

These are about £50 new from your friendly AD. This is cut and (very lightly) used, so I'll accept £25, UK delivery included. Pics: Image

And next up, the rubber strap section from a Breitling for Bentley GMT (A47362, R47362). This is the 210S, a bespoke rubber that is designed only for the GMT, which has a 'special' lug fitting. It's a standard 20mm at the clasp ends, but has a slot shaped lug and metal connection at the head end, to integrate with the GMT case. It's 31mm where the rubber meets the case. I actually bought this because it was fitted with a Breitling foldover clasp, which is now being used on an Ocean Racer on another watch, so this rubber strap portion is 'spare'.

It's used, and has been cut quite severely - each side measures 68mm in length, and only two of the original (12?) segments are in place. I think that means that about 50mm of the original length has been removed. Assuming that the original maximum fitting would have been around 220mm (@ 8.5"), it will probably now have a maximum fitting of 170mm (@ 6.75"). These figures are estimates, but I'd like to think they are fairly educated ones.

The strap is used, but in very good condition, a few swirls on the underside, and some very light 'shiny' marks on the ridged section (I'm probably being over-critical here, it's nothing you wouldn't get after a few days of normal wear). I'll also give it a sterile bath before sending it out.

I've checked with my local AD - these straps are really expensive (like £350!). However, it will only work on the Bentley GMT, it's been cut to a fairly small size, and it's used - so I guess my customer base is fairly limited. Let's try this at £85, UK delivery included. That's more than 75% off the list price, so it may prove an absolute bargain if there is a slimwristed and thrifty Bentley GMT owner out there...

I've loads of Feedback on here, I'm a 'Top Rated' e-bay seller (2400+ deals, 100%, username 'goonermike'), and I've got plenty of Feedback on TZ-UK ('BigBird'), so there are no worries there.

I'd prefer BT, certainly for UK buyers. I can accept PayPal if absolutely necessary.

If I've missed anything, you'd like more info or pics, please feel free to PM me.

Cheers!

Mike
