Gentleman and others,
I picked up this 2002 Seamaster Professional recently as part of a deal. With love for the Seamaster seemingly in vogue again, this 2541.80.00 Full Size Quartz is up for grabs.
You all know about the Seamaster Professional, so I'll keep it relatively brief.
This is the 'Bond' Goldeneye watch, as sported by Pierce Brosnan back in 1995, though this is a 2002 model.
When I got it, the battery was failing. I've just had Steve Burrage at Ryte-Time fit a new battery for me, and reseal. Needless to say, it's running perfectly now. He also fitted the spare links back in to the bracelet. I've given the watch a gentle clean with a Cape Cod on the polished surfaces.
"Condition Report"Crystal - Sapphire is Mint, I can't see a mark on it
Dial - Mint - it's deep blue, the wavy pattern one - you know what I mean.
Lume - outrageous, and lasts for a good spell.
Bezel - appears really good, but for the anal, if up close, you'll find a tiny mark on the silver marker on the insert at 10 seconds (really very faint - and less than 0.25mm), anything else is loupe-detectable only. The bevelled edge of the bezel itself has a couple of small areas of polishing, but nothing particularly nasty.
Hands - All perfect - even the Seconds Hand tip is a good red, not faded to pink or white as per normal on these.
Case: There is some polishing to the edges, on the crown side, and one light nick to the edge of the case just above the crown (see on macro pics), not really nasty, but it's there (for an 9 year old watch, I'd say this was remarkably good overall). Since I polished it, I can't see any swirls or hairlines, though there may be the odd one I missed. There may be the odd mark on the lugs from bracelet changing (but not by me).
Backcase - very nice, the odd hairline, if anything.
Bracelet - currently sized at 8.1", so either complete, or maybe one link short (seem to be 5 full links one one side, 6 on the other, so maybe one removed?). Very good condition, there are light 'desk diver' swirls, particularly on the polished centre section, but no major nicks or gouges, and no stretching.
Clasp - Very good - again, some light hairlines on clasp, which works perfectly, as does the Diver extension.
Running - it's a 1538 Calibre Omega quartz, so pretty bloody accurate. Steve fitted a new battery on 22 December - I think it has lost a second since then.
Paperwork - Full set: Original hologram Omega Warranty card, dealer completed and dated 15-8-02. Original Omega Pictograms Card. Both come in the red Leather Omega pouch (which is pretty good, but just starting to flake, as they all seem to do). Operating Instructions Hardback Book, Version 1, Mint. Also, original Omega Hang Tag with Model/Serial Numbers. Serial Numbers all present and correct to watch.
Boxes: Outer white, intact and quite clean, but the lid (not pictured) has been taped down two sides, still perfectly usable. Foam Insert/Divider both in place. The Inner Red Leather Box is very good, the odd bump, but no rips or tears. Inside that is fine, and includes the original display cushion.
Let's get on with some pictures.
Box/Papers (Inner/Outer/Warranty Card/Pictogram Card/Hang Tag/Operating Instructions). Outer White box lid not pictured but included:

And the obligatory gratuitous Lume shot:

OK, to the nitty-gritty. It would appear that these are back in fashion (there's a midsize being advertised for £950 on the bay , and for the full size you're looking at 4 figures in most instances, up to £1250 from dealers). So, where to pitch this?
Form an orderly queue, please - I'd like £825
NOW £799 for this beauty, which will include next day Royal Mail Special Delivery. Overseas will be a little more, for Tracked Insured shipping, but not stupidly so - I've estimated an extra £9 for Europe, £16 for US and RotW.
She's not mint (if you've read this far, you'll know that), but I think for very nice condition full size SMP, with Box and Papers, and recent Battery Change and reseal, that's a bit of a bargain!
I'd prefer a straight sale, but if you've something interesting to trade, please feel free to drop me a PM - Breitling and Omega are my main weakness, and I can adjust up or down. Rolex may be another option.
I've loads of Feedback on here (if the search is working), I'm a 'Top Rated' e-bay seller (1800+ deals, 99.9%, username 'goonermike'), and I've got plenty of Feedback on TZ-UK (username BigBird), though the search facility on there is limited.
I'd prefer BT, certainly for UK buyers. PayPal if absolutely necessary, but I cannot accept PayPal Gifts, so if you'd like to go down that route, it will be 'official', and I'll add 3.4% to cover Fees (PayPal get narked if 'gifts' go in, and I use it for my business and e-bay stuff, so don't want to upset them...).
If I've missed anything, you'd like more info or pics, or if you've a Trade in mind, please feel free to PM me.
Cheers!
Mike
