Hi, I'm about to order my first Breitling, Navitimer 01 46mm, crocodile strap and ????
On the one hand I like the folding clasp method but I'm a little concerned about the thickness it adds to a padded strap at the closure point, any comments greatly received. If I decide to go with the standard buckle closure can I change to a folding clasp at a later date using the same strap? I'm very excited so greatly appreciate any advice or comments.
Thanks.

No you can't. The straps for each buckle type (which for your information are called tang and deployant) are different. However, given that you are buying a behemoth 46mm watch, I would think your wrist could easily handle the extra thickness the use of a deployant buckle would add.
