Hi Guys,

I have searched everywhere with no luck.
I need to trim the ends of my new Rubber Strap for the Deployment Buckle.
There is a pin on the Short end (End with Breitling Logo) but the larger end (With the Breitling 1884 on it) that has the micro adjustments (PUSH), I have no idea how too release the strap to trim it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Best wishes,

Verner

It's hidden underneath, you can use a spring bar tool to slide the spring bar out. I don't have mine on me at the moment to take a photo, by if you squeeze the strap you'll see the spring bar there.

I'd recommend only cutting off one segment at a time and then trying the strap back on after each, as there's nothing worse than cutting off too much! The adjustable bit is very forgiving for length, so cut one side, try it on and see if it is short enough and centered, and then try cutting another bit.

Remember to NOT cut them equally short! One has to be longer!

Brilliant Dr J.
Many, many thanks.
I shall have a go tonight.
I just didn't want to force anything as I couldn't find the springbar.

:-)

You are a gentleman and a scholar,

Dr J,

does this look correct?

Push-Slide down to fully extend then push in Rubber Strap to access Springbar?

Just squeeze the strap sides in like you normally would to change a strap at the lugs, and you'll see the springbar. Then you can use a spring bar tool like normal. I.e it's no different than at the lugs. Just squeeze, find the spring bar, and then change out the spring bar as normal with the tool.

Let me know if that works?

DP3 strap with deployant is a great combination for the summer months!

What watch are you wearing it with?
