I've been thinking of picking up a deployment style Breitling strap for my Avenger and they all seem to be 7" length. I need about 8 1/2" overall so I would be at the absolute max length with it mounted on my 1 5/8" Avenger. Will it be secure set all the way out at its loosest point? I'm concerned it will slip loose from the buckle and the watch will fall. I'm not able to try one on since the nearest authorized dealer is a few hours away and I rarely make it to that area, so I want to be reasonable assured it is going to work before dropping the coin and ordering one.

Rubber or leather strap? Different deployant buckles... If leather, extra long straps are available. Rubber straps are very long IMO. Never had a client before on wich we didn't need to shorten the rubber strap.

Sorry, forgot to mention the type of strap... I'm looking for a leather strap. Do you know the part number of the longer black or brown 22/20 calf leather deployment straps? I've looked everywhere that sells straps online and they only list the 7" models that have 90 and 110mm sides.

Can you tell me the size of your wrist in cm please? Because normally a standard size should be ok. Also, to give you the reference, I need to know fabric you want ie, croc or calf. To order, you use the normal reference and add XL behind the reference if a longer strap would be needed.

Wrist is approximately 21.5cm. I want the calf leather on a deployment. I just don't care for the tang buckles. Like I mentioned before, the specification on the standard length 436x strap looks like it will work but it would be at the very end of its adjustment and I am concerned with it slipping out of the buckle and my watch falling off.

Long version adds 10mm to each side so will fit easily, but it adds 10mm to the distance between head and deployant on the fixed side so try and make sure that is still comfortable before committing as the clasp will sit differently on your wrist.
