Post subject: | Winders |
Hi all. Just about to take delivery of three matching LE Seawolfs! ![]() One's mine and the other two need to be looked after until end of next year when my twin sons turn 18! Plan on wearing mine a fair bit but should I just leave the others stationary or get them in a winder asap. If so, what would people recommend as a brand. May also get an old Steelfish one day. Thanks for your help in advance ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would recommend Wolf Winders - good quality and value for money. At the higher end, Orbita. |

I would just leave them be and just wind them fully once a month to prevent the oils from migrating. No point in having them running for the sake of it, and that way there's also no need to buy a winder. |

I have 2 Wolf 2.7s and 2 Orbita Sparta's, I find you have to line up the Wolf cushion tabs when pushing the watch into place and if you're not careful the cushion will slip when starting up. The Orbita on the other hand simply pushes onto the spindle and then starts turning. The new Orbita Bold is on sale on watchcases website. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

As far as whether you need a winder or not is always open for debate, I have had a series of different winders since the early 90's and all my mechanical watches are always ready to wear at a moments notice, it may seem a tad anal but I for one believe in keeping your watches inner works moving at all times. ![]() Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
