I am looking mainly for the distressed/vintage look almost scruffy in a way, light brown/tan with perhaps black stitching and a black buckle. I have searching fleabay and some of the more popular strap sites with no luck, I am even considering having a go at making one. Can you chaps give me some pointers as to the places you look at please. Thanks Phil |

Can't really help you on a place to buy ready distressed straps (unless you commission someone like Gunny Straps to make one), but you could always consider distressing one yourself. Very fine sandpaper, wire wool, etc will rough up the surface. Soaking it in water then drying it quickly will probably cause it to crack a little, then oiling it would probably bring back some suppleness. Basically you could just experiment with various ideas until you get the colour and level of distressing you want. All I would say is go for a cheap strap to start off with, and maybe expect a few cock-ups before you get it right! |

Check dangerous 9 straps from Germany, has so many options. I had a custom gray croc made from him. Awesome work he does |
