I recently bought a brand new orbita sparta one open watch winder from a private seller on ebay and my watch is stopping after about 10 days on both the 10 minute and 15 minute cycles. After contacting the seller today he said that the winder will not keep my watch wound indefinately if i keep it in the winder for very long periods of time as it is only ment to to keep the watch topped up for a few days in between wearing it. After watching a few videos on ebay of the same winders my one seems to stop swinging in half the time that all the other ones stop swinging as it dosent seem to swing anywhere near as freely as the ones that i have seen on you tube. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

If it is getting enough turns per day and not staying wound then there may be a problem with the unit.
