Hey guys!

I recently purchased a Blackbird Black Steel edition (absolutely adore the watch, it's gorgeous), and I wanted to know if there are any blacksteel bracelets that one could buy for the watch. The rubber is nice but I would love to see it with a legitimate blacksteel band.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to look, or what to look for?

Thanks!

For reference, the gorgeous watch that I love and am very happy with to keep in a pretty box until I have a reason to reward myself with it (I have a lot of goals this year, and I wanted suitable incentive! I can't wear it until I accomplish them)

There is a mesh blacksteel band - I believe it is called the 'Ocean Classic' BlackSteel.

I was looking for one for my Military but the price is seriously high for just a bracelet - £900 UK Pounds, and Breitling won't give any kind of assurances about wear rate of the blacksteel links. What worries me is that as it's mesh, it will have lots of moving/grinding parts which I'm thinking will rub off the coating in places and the whole thing will soon start to look scruffy.

I'd be interested to hear of anyone with a blacksteel mesh and how it wears....

Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of the mesh look with this style of watch, I was more hoping they had a blacksteel version of the Blackbird's normal bracelet!

Also can we talk about how good looking the Blackbird watch is? Man I'm happy I randomly saw it...

You can buy a standard bracelet and send it to a third party that can apply a DLC finish to it, but it won't match the case exactly.

Yeah I'm very, very happy with the Blackbird, in Blacksteel (I know Black steel isn't that popular around here sometimes), and I love it in the normal brushed steel with a blue dial look as well. I am not allowing myself to wear it until I accomplish my goals this year though, just as added incentive!

And hmmm. So the only option is to buy a bracelet and get a DLC finish? There're no other options? There weren't any black steel bands that Breitling produced at any point aside from the mesh one?

Darn

DLC rubs DLC causing it to wear so be very careful with having a bracelet treated - the movement of links will cause damage. I suspect that is why only mesh bracelets have been offered.

That makes sense! Well that's too bad. So rubber for sure it is.

Beautiful watch though. I kind of want a second one in brushed steal with a blue face... but I have recently dropped more than enough on 2 Breitlings, I need to diversify! The bug has bitten me

Natesen, you're a classic enabler and I am upset with you for doing such a thing :P

I am fine with it on the rubber strap, it's too bad that DLC is not tough enough to make bracelets out of.

Beautiful pair of BBs by the way!!!

I agree, I would love to have a dlc blackbird bracelet, but it would be expensive and not hold up so its just not worth it unfortunately. The blackbird bracelet is my favorite.
