Post subject: | Breitling superocean 18mm deployment clasp wont shut |
Hi all, New to the forum...have a chrono 44m superocean with the standard 18mm deployment clasp (no springs). Essentially it doesn't snap shut, so have to rely on the secondary clasp to keep it closed. I can't work out why it won't close, it seems to have happened overnight. Can anyone share photos of their bracelet so I can see what it should look like? I have looked at slightly bending the metal but I don't see how it will help this... Many thanks all in advance |

Thanks, I shall try that out later today and report back. The plier option looks like its more relevant as I think I can see where it is, but as this happened overnight (mine too is about 4 months old too) perhaps the easier way will help. Thanks again |

ok so the bending of the "T" didn't work, or I'm not applying enough pressure. Attached is a photo of the clasp, can see it doesn't quite sit flush, however looking at the clasp, I need to remove a good few mm for the bracelet to lock. Any ideas? I'd be surprised if this needed anything major, as there wasn't an event (like dropping) that caused it. Thanks, |
