Will the 423A / D stainless steel bracelet fit a Navitimer a23322 watch?
And also is it 22-20 or 22-18?

It won't fit, it tapers to 20.

That's what I would have said too and to some extent, correct.
I have tried the 423A on my Super Constellation, which is a Navi A23322.
It fits snugly against the case, pops easily into the lug holes, no excessive gaps/play.
The only difference that I can see is that the 442 is more aligned/flush with the lugs as I tried to illustrate in this picture.
Bear in mind that this is a magnified picture in an attempt to illustrate the difference. The difference is far more subtle in real life.
Personally, I would not be going out of my way to get the 442 if I already had the 423.
The 423 would do me just fine.

Theoretically I agree Wes, although I would prefer the one that fits 'properly'. In this case the OP was asking because he wants to buy the 442 and was offered a 423 so he doesn't currently own it. Additionally, he was offered a D but his watch is an A so the gold wouldn't match the head.

Fair enough, if the OP is buying one then no reason to compromise. 442A or 431A is the way to go.

Hi

Thank for all the helpful info.
The seller did write 423a/d but there is no gold on the bracelet.
I would prefer a 431 or a 442 but they are hard to find as second hand..
I really don't want to spend 1000+ $ for a new one.
Any help on finding one would be highly appreciated!

Thanks again
