I have noticed that the recent military edition of the Super Avenger, as well as the latest Chronomat Airborne, are offered with OEM black military straps. In taking a look at the Seawolf Avenger II over the weekend, I noticed that a military strap option is available for this watch, as well. I had never noticed this before -- probably because I had failed to scroll all the way to the right using the "Made for Measure" feature.

So, I'm curious to know -- how long have such straps been offered by Breitling? Is this a relatively new phenomenon? Does anyone have any comments on these straps in terms of comfort, durability, etc.?

They are new - up to about a year or so back the Breitling straps were rubber or white stitched calf / croc.

Thanks, Roff -- that's what I suspected. Think I'll go ahead and take the plunge.

I had one on my Military SA, and also ordered one with my Unitime that I'm waiting for now. They are comfortable, lined with leather. I haven't had one long enough to comment on durability, however they seem pretty rugged.

Do they come in all shapes and sizes as it were? If so I'd quite fancy trying one on my [pre-Evo] Aerospace.

That I am unsure of. It would look great on the Aerospace for sure though.

I'm hoping to get the green one on my Aerospace too. I think it'll look amazing. I wonder if it's available in a 22mm.

The new chronomat that they showed at Basel with a military strap I'm sure will be 22mm since the chronomat 44 is 22/20.

Spoke with George at Govberg yesterday, who had nothing but great things to say about the military strap that is being issued with the Chronomat Airborne.

The military straps are now available, and, depending on the tang/buckle or clasp configuration, appear to run anywhere from the low $200's to the high $400's (although this is subject to further fine tuning). The straps being offered with the Avenger series appear to be backed by black leather or synthetic material with tang/buckle. The strap offered with the Chronomat Airborne has a red leather or synthetic backing and is offered with a folding clasp (or push button deployant). The details are still a bit sketchy, as these are new and info is being provided through a Breitling rep. I expect that this info will change somewhat once people start to get their hands on them!
